In 1993 I started to write software under Windoze 3.11 ( eek! ). And if
you know NEXTSTEP you know that Win3.11 is a downgrade ( and even Win95/NT
is ;). Anyway, now 6 years after, M$ has managed to implement most things
NS could do in 1993, so it's quite 'painless' to develop under Win95/NT. Here
are some projects I've done ( in Visual C++ ). Some of them are only 'experimental'.
Let me know if you need the source code or if you would like to participate
on a project ;).

Monster Mission
Monster Mission is
a DirectX experiment. I started it to 'test-drive' the M$
DirectX
library. It's more or less a classic Arcade type of game. Tons of sprites,
extra weapons, smooth two plane scrolling, level editor etc. The game engine
is 'map based' and flexible. It would be a quite easy job, to build a 'Boulder
Dash' like clone out of the engine. I have included some of the classic 'Boulder
Dash' elements already ( moving stones, growing walls etc... ). But it is
still in 'experimental' status.Oh, yes - the gfx sucks :).

PicMerge
PicMerge is an utility
to easily download pictures from the
Kodak
DC200/DC210/DC210+
Digital Camera. You can select a destination directory, click on the 'Download'
button, minimize the application and go on with your work. If the download
is done, 'PicMerge' notifies you with a sound. The advantage of 'PicMerge'
is that it doesn't occupy your computer while downloading the pictures (
which the original Kodak Software does ).

SporView ( written by Jewe )
SporView is a Screen
saver module. It's a kind of a 'life' simulation, very dynamic and always
fun to watch ;). More Information can be found at the
SporView
page
. There is also a
NEXTSTEP version
available.
WSM
WSM is an attempt to
rewrite the NEXTSTEP WorkSpace Manager to replace the ( IMO ) 'brain dead'
Windoze Explorer. All you can do for now is browsing through your filesystem
and start applications. At the moment it's more or less useless. But nevertheless
it's fun to implement more and more functionality...

ComFeed
ComFeed is a serial
communication tool. For the projects I do at
WWCom
I needed a piece of software which is able to provide my main application
(
RDS Network Server
) with some testdata. You can configure COM Ports ( COM1 - COM64 ) and send
or receive data ( files ) from it. You can define 'data frames' and customize
the timing of the dataflow.

My Projects at 2wcom
At
2wcom
we are developing embedded systems related to wireless transmission and
RDS. I am responsible for the Windoze Software (
Octo
,
Arcos
etc... ) and frontends to setup our Embedded devices (
DataBridge
etc... ) as well as some Embedded Linux developing stuff ( NIC for
C02
).
